For the fourth year in a row, the Ministry of Municipality in Qatar holds the Recycling Towards Sustainability Conference and Exhibition in its fourth edition in Doha, under the patronage of His Excellency HE Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Minister of Municipality, in the presence of several senior officials from Qatar and various countries around the world, as well as a number of corporate officers, experts and specialists involved in the waste management and recycling field at the local and international levels.

The annual Recycling Towards Sustainability Conference and Exhibition comes in line with the strategic plan of the Ministry of Municipality, the National Development Strategy, and the Qatar National Vision 2030 aiming at transforming Qatar into advanced society capable of achieving sustainable development and securing a high standard of living for its people for generations to come, by promoting the optimal use of natural resources and fostering its sustainability for the wellbeing of the people in Qatar.

 

 

About the 4th edition of RTS

This year, the conference shall be held over two days at the International Horticultural Expo in Doha, Qatar and it will witness various workshops, seminars, and lectures delivered by local, regional, and international professionals to share their personal experiences and insights or experiences of their companies in the waste management and recycling field.

Waste management is an essential aspect of sustainable development as it is vital for conserving the planet’s natural resources and ensuring a better future for generations to come and preserving their rights to enjoy a secure environment. To this end, there should be close collaboration between governments, institutions, communities and individuals to unify their efforts to build a more sustainable and healthier planet by adopting a responsible approach to waste management.

The topics of the 4th Recycling Towards Sustainability Conference include:

Objectives of the Conference:

 

  • Targeting all segments of society and promoting a culture of waste sorting at source. 
  • Identifying the latest technologies adopted by companies involved in the waste recycling field.
  • Addressing the importance of academic research in developing recycling and waste treatment practices.
