Ms. Mona Abdullah Al-Salahi

Biological Consultant, Tissue Culture section at Agricultural Research Department

Mona has worked as a researcher in the Tissue Culture Department and has led the project for the development of tissue-cultured date palm cultivation within the department. She also managed the production unit in the Tissue Culture Department.

Al-Salahi took charge of the Research and Development Unit in the Tissue Culture Department, through which the team registered a patent with the Ministry of Economy for the method of propagating date palms via somatic embryos. She also supervised the transfer of production to the private sector. Ms. Al-Salahi holds numerous specialized training courses in tissue culture of date palms using somatic embryos and has contributed to several specialized research projects with research teams in the Tissue Culture Department.
